2016 Marcum Workplace Challenge
July 26, 2016 [Jones Beach, NY] ~
For the fourth year, our team headed out to Jones Beach for the 2016 Marcum Workplace Challenge to participate in "Long Island's largest Office Picnic". 21 members of our team, together with family and friends showed up to complete the course. Last year more than 9,300 participants from 215 corporate teams, helped raise more than $100,000 in donations. We are proud to have been apart of such a great cause and look forward to doing it all again next year!
The Marcum Workplace Challenge is a 3.5 mile run-walk for charity that is held annually at Jones Beach State Park. Managed by the Greater Long Island Running Club, the event has raised nearly $600,000 for Long Island charities since 2006. Since its inception, Long Island businesses, governmental agencies and not-for-profit organizations, along with and friends and families have all come together to raise money for the Long Island Children's Museum, Children's Medical Fund of New York, Long Island Cares, Inc. - The Harry Chapin Food Bank, and the Nassau County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
