B. Thayer Associates provided site engineering and land surveying for a 112 acre private residence that includes a 16,436sf main and guest house, pool house, pavilion, gardens, tennis and basketball courts, maintenance facility, irrigation ponds, and a 22 acre 9 hole Reese Jones golf course.
Work included topographic survey, watershed analysis, site drainage, sanitary design, storm water management and erosion control plans, submittals for village and county permits, design of horizontal and vertical alignment for 4,496lf of driveway, layout of buildings, tennis and basketball courts, roadways, drainage structures; site inspection of installed drainage, waterproofing for the stone bridge, propane tanks, and new water main tie-in and RPZ, and coordination with contractors during the five year construction process. The site also utilized geothermal technology.
For the Golf Course Expansion, our arborists completed a tree assessment & removal plan in coordination with the Village. We filed a SWPPP with NYSDEC and performed inspections of erosion and stormwater control practices throughout construction. An Integrated Pest Management Plan was also established. We prepared the Notice of Termination and as-built drawing of the completed project.
