This bridge is located on the historic Wantagh Parkway, a signature Robert Moses project, which functions as a portal to Jones Beach.
B. Thayer Associates performed architectural, structural, landscape architecture, and inspection services for the existing interior and exterior operator house and related architectural work. Architectural and structural design services focused on the new operator house, generator house and gate house towers for the new bridge. New gate house towers were designed with granite fašade and copper roof to match the original Robert Moses and NY State Parkway historic designs. Landscape Architectural services included design and landscape for new parking facilities.
